Grandmaster Anton St'James has been involved in martial arts for 40 years in particular the indigenous martial arts of the Philippines which he began in 1979.

GM. St’James has spent many years travelling and living in the Philippines and has undergone extensive training at the Cacoy Doce Pares World Headquarters in Cebu City receiving. On 17th November 2010 he was awarded his 8th Degree Black Belt Certification directly from Supreme Grandmaster Ciriaco “Cacoy” Canete (Certificate No. 6143).

In 2008 GM. St'James was inducted into the Doce Pares Hall of Fame held in Cebu City and received the Award for "Best Organisation". And in 2010 was awarded “Exemplary Dedication to Doce Pares Award” at the 2010 Hall of Fame Awards held at the CAP Auditorium, Cebu City, Philippines.

GM. St'James is also the appointed official UK/European representative for the World San Miguel Eskrima Organization under Grandmaster Federico Mendoza Jr. and holds 6th Degree Master grade in the Original San Miguel Eskrima Spada Y Daga System.

GM. St’James is an executive Board Member of the British Council of Eskrima, Kali, Arnis Instructors.
